Hickory Nut Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3 eggs
    1 c. dark Karo syrup
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. hickory nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add beaten eggs from center out.
    Add Karo and vanilla.
    Stir in hickory nuts.
    Pour into a glass 9-inch unbaked pie shell.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes, then reduce heat to 300\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Variations:
    Pecans, peanut butter.
