24 Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, chopped
    6 green onions, chopped
    2 bell peppers, chopped
    2 carrots, shredded
    1 large can English peas, drained
    1 c. mayonnaise
    4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Toss lettuce, onions, peppers, carrots and peas together. Spread in a 9 x 13-inch dish, or put in a large salad bowl. Spread mayonnaise all over the top, then cover with Cheddar cheese and bacon bits.
    Cover the dish and refrigerate for 24 hours before uncovering.
