Marinara Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    2 Tbsp. basil
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a 2-quart saucepan, over medium heat, in the 2 tablespoons oil, cook garlic and onion until tender, about 5 minutes.
    Stir in tomatoes, their liquid and remaining ingredients.
    Reduce heat to low.
    Cover; cook for 20 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
