Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. strawberry Jell-O
1 1/2 c. water
2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch

Preparation

Mix all together. Add enough red food coloring to make red. Cook until thick and clear red. When cool, pour in a cooled 9-inch pie shell with 1 pint of sliced strawberries (fresh) in bottom of pie shell. Let stand until firm. Top with whipped cream.
