Picnic Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 1/3 c. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 large eggs

Preparation

Sift all the dry ingredients together in a large mixer bowl. Add the shortening, milk and vanilla.
Beat slow to medium speed for 2 minutes.
Add the two large eggs and beat 2 minutes more. Bake in a 9 x 13 x 2-inch greased and floured pan for 40 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
