A Trio Of Cheese Dips In Red Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    3 Tbsp. chopped pimento (2 oz. jar)
    1/2 mayonnaise
    snipped lovage
    3/4 c. Cheddar cheese spread
    1/3 c. sour cream
    snipped French tarragon
    chives
    1 1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack/Colby cheese
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. dill weed
Preparation
    Make diagonal cuts near top of each apple, each knife stroke at right angles to preceding one, and cut to center of apples. Lift off top; hollow apples using melon ball cutter.
    Mix 2 tablespoons lemon juice with 2 tablespoons water; dip apple cups in lemon mixture and drain well.
    (I use Fruit Fresh.)
    Tops may be used as decorative float in punch, after dipping in lemon. Garnish with mint, parsley or salad burnet.
