Madcap Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cider vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
5 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 c. applesauce
whipped cream
Preparation

Sift together flour, cocoa, sugar, baking soda and salt.
Make three depressions in dry ingredients.
Pour cider vinegar in one, the vanilla in another and the oil in the last depression.
Spoon applesauce over all.
Mix well until smooth.
(If still dry add more applesauce.)
Pour in 8-inch greased baking pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
Cool and top with whipped cream.
