Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening or butter
    3/4 c. milk (approximately)
Preparation
    Set oven to 450\u00b0.
    Put flour, baking powder and salt into sifter, then sift dry ingredients into a bowl.
    Add shortening and cut it in using a pastry blender or two knives.
    Add and stir just enough milk to make a soft dough.
    Turn dough out on a lightly floured board and knead gently 15 to 20 times.
    Roll out or pat dough to 1/2-inch and cut with 2-inch cookie cutter.
    Place on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake 12 to 15 minutes until brown.
