Old Fashion Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1/2 c. buttery Crisco shortening
    3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. lemon
    1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
    6 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan. Cream butter and shortening in large mixing bowl until fluffy. Add sugar 1/2 cup at a time, creaming well.
    Stir in vanilla, lemon extract and juice.
    Add eggs, blending well at each addition.
    Sift flour and baking powder.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
    Stir thoroughly.
    Pour into prepared pan. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted comes out clean.
    Cool 15 minutes on wire rack.
    Makes 1 (10-inch) cake.
