Fruit Cocktail Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (16 oz.) fruit cocktail
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
dash of salt
2 c. liquid (use fruit cocktail juice plus milk)
3 eggs, separated
9-inch pie shell
Preparation

Mix flour, sugar and liquid and bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Pour small amount of hot mixture into beaten egg yolks, stir then add back to hot mixture and bring to boil.
Add fruit and stir until mixed.
Pour into 9-inch baked pie shell.
Top with meringue.
Bake in oven at 350\u00b0 until lightly brown.
Chill for 4 hours and serve.
