Southern Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix the first 4 ingredients.
    Cut in shortening; rub by hand until crumbly.
    Pour buttermilk into flour mixture and knead 3 to 4 times.
    Roll dough to 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick.
    Fold over and cut into 2 to 3-inch biscuits.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven until very lightly browned.
