Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. lentils
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 stalks celery, sliced
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 c. grated carrot
    1 1/2 to 2 c. coarsely chopped potatoes
    1 c. tomato juice
    1/3 c. brown rice
    1 1/2 c. frozen corn (optional)
Preparation
    Saute garlic, celery and onion in the margarine.
    Add carrots, juice, potatoes and rice.
    Rinse lentils and mix all together. Bring to a boil.
    Stir, cover and simmer until tender.
    If desired, stir in corn for last 20 minutes.
