Sweet Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 sweet onions, sliced and separated into rings
    2 c. grated American cheese
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. Lea & Perrins
    2 oz. green chilies
    Bac*Os or crumbled bacon
Preparation
    Place onion rings in greased 2-quart casserole.
    Melt butter and add flour, milk, salt, paprika and Lea & Perrins.
    Cook until thick.
    Stir in cheese and green chilies.
    Heat until cheese is melted.
    Pour over onions.
    Sprinkle Bac*Os or crumbled bacon on top.
    Cover and bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Uncover and bake 10 more minutes at 425\u00b0.
