Fried Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 lb. frying chicken (pieces)
1 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. ground oregano
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 c. shortening
Preparation

Rinse chicken and pat dry.
Combine flour, paprika, salt and pepper in a plastic bag.
Combine garlic powder, oregano and cayenne in shaker.
Heat shortening to 375\u00b0 in a heavy deep skillet.
Beat eggs in water.
Shake chicken a few pieces at a time in flour mixture to coat.
Dip in egg mixture, then shake again in flour mixture.
Fry for 10 minutes, skin side down, turn and fry for 20 minutes, turning occasionally.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Sprinkle with spice mix.
