New Orleans' Dreams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/3 c. white corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. Pet milk
    1/3 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. broken pecans
Preparation
    Put sugar, corn syrup, salt and milk in saucepan.
    Stir until sugar is dissolved.
    Bring to a boiling point and boil until a little dropped in cold water will hold its shape like putty or clay, a firm hard ball.
    Let stand 10 minutes, then add nuts. Beat vigorously until thick and creamy.
    Drop onto oiled paper by teaspoon.
