"Aunt Maggie'S" Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. raisins
3/4 c. chopped dates
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. margarine
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour (part whole wheat)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
-
Combine water and raisins and bring to a slow boil (approximately 20 minutes).
Add dates and cool.
Cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla.
Add fruit and liquid.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Combine mixtures.
Do not overmix.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
