Pecan Pie Surprise Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
1 egg
1 c. chopped pecans, toasted
2/3 c. reserved cake mix
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
Preparation

Grease bottom and sides of 13 x 9-inch baking pan; reserve 2/3 cup dry cake mix for filling.
In large mixing bowl, combine remaining dry cake mix, butter and 1 egg; mix until crumbly. Press in prepared pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes until light golden brown.
Meanwhile, prepare filling.
Pour filling over partially baked crust; sprinkle with pecans.
Return to oven and bake 30 to 35 minutes until filling is set.
Cool.
Cut into 36 bars.
