Ingredients

6 c. sliced, cooked beets
2 medium onions, peeled and sliced
3/4 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. melted oleo
2 tsp. cornstarch
1/3 c. vinegar
1/3 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Simmer onions in melted butter until tender.
Stir in sugar, cornstarch and salt.
Add water and vinegar.
Add beets and simmer for 30 minutes to blend flavors.
