Sweet-Sour Pork - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. lean shoulder pork, cut in strips 2 x 1/2-inch
2 Tbsp. fat
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 to 1/3 c. vinegar
1 c. pineapple juice
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
3/4 c. green pepper, cut in strips
1/4 c. thinly sliced onions, cut in strips
1 (No. 2) can pineapple chunks
Preparation

Brown pork slightly in hot fat.
Add water; cover and cook slowly 1 hour.
Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, vinegar, pineapple juice and soy sauce.
Mix. Cook until slightly thick, stirring constantly.
Pour over hot, cooked pork.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Add green pepper, onion and pineapple chunks and cook only 2 or 3 minutes.
Serve with hot fluffy rice.
(Chinese noodles are good with it, too.)
