Pear Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. water
    8 medium sized pears, diced
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. lemon juice
Preparation
    Boil 1 1/2 cups sugar and water for 15 minutes.
    Add pears. Boil 15 minutes.
    Add 1 1/2 cups sugar and lemon juice.
    Cook for 45 minutes.
    Put in jars.
    Seal while hot.
