German Potato Salad #1 - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 medium potatoes, cooked and peeled
4 slices bacon
6 green onions, sliced or 1 small onion, chopped
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. or 1 cube beef bouillon
1/4 tsp. celery seed
1/4 tsp. allspice
dash of pepper
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
Preparation

Fry bacon until crisp and crumble.
Reserve 3 tablespoons of drippings.
Cook onion in reserved drippings until tender.
Add sugar, flour, salt, beef bouillon, celery seed, allspice and the pepper.
Stir until the mixture becomes smooth.
Stir in water and vinegar and heat until bubbly.
Slice warm potatoes.
Add the sauce mixture with the crumbled bacon.
Stir gently and heat through.
Yields 4 to 5 servings.
