Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted Martha White all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. quick cooking oats
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease a large baking sheet.
    Cream shortening and sugars together in mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
    Sift flour, soda, cinnamon and salt together; blend into creamed mixture.
    Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and pecans.
    Drop dough by level tablespoonful 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheet.
    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
    Cool on wire racks. Makes about 70 cookies.
