Sky-High Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Combine all dry ingredients. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
    Add egg and milk, stirring quickly and briefly.
    Knead lightly on a floured board.
    Pat gently to 1-inch thickness.
    Cut into 1 to 2-inch biscuits.
    Place on a greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
