Mushroom Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak, 1 inch thick
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 medium onions, cut crosswise into thick slices
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
Preparation
    Cut steak into serving pieces.
    Coat with combined flour, salt and pepper.
    Melt butter in skillet and brown steak on both sides. Put steak in a shallow baking pan and top each piece with an onion slice.
    Heat soup in skillet and pour over steak.
    Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven until tender, about 1 1/2 hours.
