Oatmeal Macaroons - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. oats, uncooked
1/2 c. nut meats, chopped
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add vanilla and eggs; beat thoroughly.
Sift flour, soda, salt and cinnamon; add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
Fold in oats and nut meats.
Drop from a teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Cool 2 minutes before removing from a cookie sheet. Makes about 5 1/2 dozen cookies.
