Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
3/4 c. applesauce
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. pecans, chopped
2/3 c. raisins
Preparation

Mix butter, sugar, egg yolks, applesauce.
Blend until smooth. Sift flour.
Add other dry ingredients.
Add together, then add vanilla, nuts and raisins.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour in 2 (9-inch) greased cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes or until done.
