Onion Upside-Down Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 medium onions (Idaho, Oregon, sweet or Spanish)
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, divided
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 beaten egg
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. oil
Preparation
    Peel and thickly slice onions.
    Saute in 2 tablespoons butter until golden and fairly soft.
    Spread remaining 1 tablespoon butter in 9-inch round baking dish.
    Sprinkle with brown sugar. Arrange onion slices in baking dish.
