Dad'S Own "Bubble And Squeak" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 stalk celery (including leaves), diced
    1/2 tsp. combined salt and pepper to taste
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
    1/4 c. flour
    1/3 c. water
    1 clove garlic, minced or dash of garlic salt
    1 Tbsp. monosodium glutamate (optional)
Preparation
    Pound flour into meat on both sides.
    Cut in serving portions and brown in cooking oil.
    Cook at low heat in heavy iron skillet with water while you are chopping onion and celery.
    Then add salt, pepper, garlic or garlic salt.
    Next add monosodium glutamate, if desired, onion, celery and soup.
    Cook gently and slowly over low heat, covered, 45 minutes or until tender.
    Turn once.
    Yields 4 servings.
