Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sour milk
    1 c. mashed bananas
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and well beaten eggs.
    Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add alternately with sour milk and bananas.
    Add flavoring (vanilla) and nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 40 minutes.
    Test with tester.
    Makes 2 layer 9-inch cake.
