Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 lb. brown sugar
1 can (15 oz.) Eagle Brand milk
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt
1 c. light corn syrup
Preparation

Melt butter in heavy 3 qt. saucepan.
Add brown sugar and salt, stirring until thoroughly combined.
Blend in corn syrup. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.
Cook and stir over medium heat, until candy reaches firm ball stage (245\u00b0) about 12-15 minutes.
Remove from heat, add vanilla.
Spoon over pecans on buttered surface.
