Texas Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. strong coffee brewed or water
1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
2/3 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. vinegar
Preparation

In a large bowl, sift sugar and flour.
In heavy pan, combine butter, shortening, and coffee or water.
Add remaining ingredients and heat to boiling.
Use a wooden spoon.
Pour in well greased pan, 17 1/2 x 11-inches.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
While brownies are baking, make the frosting.
