4-H Apple Crisp - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. rolled oats
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. margarine
4 c. peeled, sliced apples
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Grease a baking pan (8 x 8 x 2-inch) or a 2-quart baking dish. Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Measure the oats, flour, salt, cinnamon and brown sugar into a bowl.
Remember to pack the brown sugar. Measure the margarine.
Cut it into the dry ingredients until it is like small peas.
Adjust the oven racks so that the pan is in the center of the oven.
Peel and slice the apples.
Arrange in the baking pan or dish.
Spread the oatmeal mixture on top of the apples.
Press lightly.
Bake 30 minutes until topping is light brown and the apples are tender.
Serve warm with milk or ice cream.
