Date-Nut Cream Cheese Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates, chopped
    nuts, if desired
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    2 1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
Preparation
    In small bowl, place chopped dates and boiling water.
    Set aside to cool.
    Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat eggs, sugar, butter and vanilla.
    Add date mixture.
    Add flour mixture.
    Cut cream cheese into 3/4 inch cubes.
    Fold in. Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Pour into greased loaf pan and bake 70 to 75 minutes.
    Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan.
    Refrigerate when completely cool.
