Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. round steaks, cut in strips
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 c. sliced mushrooms
    1/4 c. tomato paste
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. beef consomme
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1 clove garlic, minced
    hot buttered noodles
Preparation
    Brown meat in oil.
    Put into large casserole with salt and pepper.
    In drippings, saute onions until brown.
    Add mushrooms, cook 5 minutes.
    Mix together tomato paste, flour, consomme, bay leaf and garlic.
    Pour over meat.
    Cover and bake 1 hour.
    Stir in sour cream.
    Serve over noodles.
