Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. yellow squash
    1 stick margarine
    2 eggs
    1 c. bite size cheese pieces
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    salt and pepper to taste
    10 crackers
    1 onion
Preparation
    Slice squash and onion.
    Cook until tender in salt water. Drain thoroughly.
    Add margarine and mash squash and onion until very fine.
    Add crumbled crackers, egg, 1/2 cup milk and sugar; mix well.
    Add cheese.
    Pour into buttered casserole and cook 1 hour at 300\u00b0.
    Add 1/3 cup cracker crumbs and pats of margarine to top and allow to remain in oven until crumbs are brown and crisp.
