Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 c. butter or oleo
    4 eggs
    2 c. chopped nuts
    8 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. McCormick pure vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs and mix well.
    Add nuts and vanilla.
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar and baking soda.
    Add to
    mixture and mix well.
    Roll into long rolls. Refrigerate at least overnight.
    They should be rolled in aluminum foil while refrigerated.
    When ready to bake, take out one roll at a time.
    Cut in slices and bake at 350\u00b0 until done, approximately 10 minutes.
    Will appear a little undone.
    This makes a big batch.
