Cranberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large box raspberry jello
    1 lb. pkg. cranberries
    2 c. sugar
    3 oz. pecans, chopped fine
    1 apple, chopped
    3 oranges, peeled, seeds removed and cut up
Preparation
    Make jello according to directions on box.
    Place in refrigerator.
    Wash cranberries.
    In saucepan, add 2 cups cold water to cranberries.
    Boil rapidly until skin pops open (about 5 minutes).
    Press through sieve to remove skins and seeds.
    Add sugar; boil 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Let cool.
    Mix well.
    When jello begins to congeal, fold in cranberry-orange mixture.
    Chill until firm.
