Dad'S Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck ripe tomatoes
    1 or 2 cans lima beans
    3 bunches celery, diced
    1 c. barley, soaked
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. salt
    1 qt. diced carrots
    1 or 2 cans peas
    3 green peppers, diced
    5 large onions, chopped
    1/2 c. butter
    1 Tbsp. paprika
Preparation
    Cook each vegetable separately until almost done.
    Mix all ingredients together and cook for 10 minutes.
    Place in sterile pint canning jars and hot water bath for 1 hour.
