Pie Topping - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/2 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put in top of double boiler.
    Beat with mixer until mixed good.
    Place over boiling water and beat until thickened.
    Remove from heat and beat until stands in peaks, adding vanilla.
    Pile on pie.
