Pulla(Finnish Coffee Bread) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 qt. warm water
    1/2 qt. eggs, at room temperature
    1/2 lb. melted butter
    1/2 lb. sugar
    1/2 oz. baking soda
    1 oz. dry yeast
    1/2 Tbsp. cardamom, ground
    raisins (optional)
    chopped almonds (optional)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Knead well.
    Allow dough to rise until double in size.
    Knead again.
    Roll out dough into 3 strips and braid them into 12-inch loaves.
    Brush with beaten eggs immediately before baking.
    Sprinkle with sugar and nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until golden brown.
    (Brush with a little sugar water as soon as you remove the loaves from the oven.)
