Shortbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter
5 c. all-purpose flour
1 egg
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix and spread in one 8 x 16-inch square pan or two 8-inch square pans. Score top lightly with a fork.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Reduce heat to 250\u00b0 for 1 hour or until brown. Remove and cut into squares.
Makes 60 to 75 cookies.
