White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted cake flour
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. milk
    5 tsp. baking powder
    4 egg whites, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, shortening, salt and 1 cup milk in a large bowl.
    Beat 2 minutes.
    Add baking powder, egg whites, remaining 1/2 cup milk and vanilla.
    Beat 2 more minutes.
    Pour into baking pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
