Alice'S Apple Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 beaten egg
    4 large apples, thinly sliced
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. cold water
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar and baking powder.
    Add egg and mix well. Spread apples in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan and cover with first mixture.
    Sprinkle with spices and 2 tablespoons additional sugar. Dot with butter.
    Sprinkle with water and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until apples are cooked and top is slightly browned.
    Serves 6 to 8.
