Pennsylvania Dutch Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. warm water
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. margarine
1 pkg. yeast
2 eggs, beaten
12 c. flour or 5 c. wheat flour and 7 c. flour
1/2 c. warm water
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.
Melt margarine, salt and sugar in 3 1/2 cups warm water.
Stir together.
Add eggs. Stir in yeast.
Stir in flour, making a stiff dough.
Let rise until double in bulk in large greased bowl.
After several hours, punch down and shape into rolls or bread.
Place in greased pans or Pyrex bowls (casserole).
Let rise until double.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
When baked, rub tops with butter or margarine.
