Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (17 oz.) cans LeSueur English peas, drained and chilled
    3/4 c. chopped pecans
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 c. water chestnuts
    1/4 c. diced pimento, drained
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/3 c. sugar
    lettuce leaves
Preparation
    Cut up chestnuts in small pieces and marinate overnight in the oil, vinegar and sugar. Drain mixture.
    Mix all ingredients well. Line bowl with lettuce leaves and arrange salad.
    Serves 6.
