4 B'S Tomato Soup #2 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 pt. canned tomatoes
    14 1/2 oz. chicken broth
    1 oz. butter
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 to 3 Tbsp. onion
    pinch of baking soda
    1 pt. cream or half and half
Preparation
    Simmer all but the cream for 1 hour.
    Add the cream and heat through, but do not boil.
