Diabetic Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. navy beans
    1 lb. chopped onions
    4 large, tart apples, sliced
    1 1/3 c. apple juice (unsweetened)
    1/3 c. maple syrup (Cary's sugar-free)
    1 envelope Sweet 'N Low
    1/2 c. chopped, fresh parsley
    hot sauce to taste (optional)
    2 Tbsp. barley miso or 1 Tbsp. tapioca
Preparation
    Rinse, sort and soak beans in water to cover overnight.
    Drain beans.
    Combine with onions, apples, juice, diet maple syrup and Sweet 'N Low in baking dish.
    Bring to a boil; remove from heat. Bake, covered, at 300\u00b0 for 4 to 6 hours or until apples and onions have cooked down.
    Stir in
    hot sauce and barley miso.
    Adjust seasoning (pepper and salt).
