Banana Split Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. crushed graham crackers or vanilla wafers
3 sticks oleo, divided
2 eggs
2 c. confectioners sugar
1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple, drained, or about 2 1/2 c.
3 bananas, sliced
1 large carton Cool Whip
1/2 c. chopped nuts
cherries for decoration
Preparation

Melt one stick of oleo and mix with crumbs.
Spread evenly into a 9 x 13-inch dish.
Beat together for no less than 15 minutes the eggs, sugar and remaining 2 sticks of oleo.
Spoon mixture over the crumb layer and arrange sliced bananas over the top.
The next layer is drained crushed pineapple, then the Cool Whip.
Sprinkle with chopped nuts and decorate with cherries. Place in refrigerator overnight.
