Ingredients

1/2 c. oleo
1 c. brown sugar, packed
4 eggs
3 Tbsp. sweet milk
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 scant tsp. soda
3 c. self-rising flour
2/3 c. orange juice
1 1/2 lb. pecans (do not chop)
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. candied cherries, chopped (1/2 green and 1/2 red)
1/2 lb. candied pineapple, chopped
Preparation

Combine first 10 ingredients; make batter as for cake.
Then add pecans, raisins, cherries and pineapple.
Stir until fruit and nuts are coated good.
Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake in slow oven (300\u00b0) about 30 minutes.
Cool.
Store in airtight container.
Flavor is better if kept 2 to 3 weeks before serving (that is, if you can keep them hidden from Daddy, Bill, Ron and Sue!).
