Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    In heavy saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup and water.
    Cook until sugar dissolves; stir constantly.
    Add salt and peanuts; cook until hard crack stage, stirring occasionally.
    Add butter, vanilla and soda; mix well.
    Pour onto 2 buttered baking sheets. While warm, pull out to desired thickness.
    When cool, crack into pieces.
    Makes about 2 pounds.
